Often times interpreting phone apps are very very bad very unreliable. Because as soon as somebody who's never done watch repair removes the balance wheel from the watch interesting things will happen and probably none of them good.Īnd yes this would be good thing to do except we've already indicated you've done that you really need to share the results with us. Ideally because the problem is in the watch we need better views of the balance wheel and hairspring in the watch. Someone trying to figure out is right out of the drawer this is what the problem was or have you worn out a while and then suddenly this problem has popped up? So it's really saying is it had been serviced prior he wore it to let off and 30 years later were seeing this problem? By the way your watch needs a complete servicing because whether it's inactive or not the lubrication's are all don't disintegrate anyway which can be an issue. Okay so it had been serviced and it was inactive for 30 years. Then before changing things we really need a better explaining a better what's going on? Oh minor little clarification here there are two things to adjust in the watch your using the software to adjust the beat error and what he using to regulate the watch? I'm waiting for a pin vise to arrive to see if I can make the second hand "collar" smaller so that it would fit the chinese movement.Ĭan we see pictures of whatever you using the phone and or the other software in other words we want to see what you're looking at that's telling you you're having a problem. The only problem is that if there's a second hand, it probably wont fit the Chinese movement if it uses the "Swatch standard size". But the replacement chinese movement (if it fits) costs only a dollar or so, it won't be worth repairing it. It was all held on by plastic welds so one probably cannot repair it. I've also broke open the original ETA movement so that one can see the inside of it. Am waiting for another movement that has the battery compartment on the same side of the hatch. I have an existing chinese SL68 movement but unfortunately the battery position is directly opposite the battery hatch. I used a nylon hammer to flatten the dial. When it came out, the dial was badly bent and the movement was trashed. I used a wooden chopstick through the battery compartment and bashed the dial out from the back. Tried using a thin screw driver to pry off the ring without success. The rotation of the movement is prevented just by the stem. There is a metal ring on the top right of the picture that presses down on the dial very tightly. Ok, I took the plunge, broke the crystal and here's the result. >where the crystal was deliberately broken off
